Advancing ECG reasoning through waveform-grounded self-improvement.

Signal construction / verification

Verified ECG synthesis and development feedback PR is measured from P onset to QRS onset. An illustrative edit lengthens PR, while construction feedback repairs R–R drift and preserves QRS morphology. Waveform-grounded answers train an ECG learner. Development feedback proposes three recipes from the same parent, and a separate development selection set determines the retained learner. Independent evaluation uses held-out benchmarks. Experiment details and benchmark scores

S7 equally weights four accuracy and three classification F1 scores on a 0–100 scale. The main trajectory rises from 30.15 to 46.61. Mean QA accuracy increases from 34.57% to 56.04%; mean F1 increases from 24.27 to 34.03. Gains are computed before rounding.

Recorded waveform example and full method

The appendix PR example requests 300 ms and remeasures 298 ms, with heart rate 74.6 bpm. It lengthens the PQ segment and compensates in the TP segment to preserve the RR interval. These values follow the paper’s automatic measurement convention.
